Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has made a clear statement that the Pakistan Women’s Team will not travel to India for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup 2025.
Speaking to the media, Naqvi said, “An agreement has already been made — and it must be honored. If India is the host, then it is their responsibility to decide on a neutral venue.”
He said that the women’s team would be rewarded for their best performance. He also mentioned that minor changes in the squad are expected as part of the ongoing development.
On the men’s team side, Naqvi stated that further decisions would be made soon, especially regarding coaching staff. He acknowledged that Aqib Javed was appointed as interim coach, and more clarity would come next week.
When asked about Mohammad Rizwan’s reported discontent over limited decision-making authority, Naqvi declined to comment.
